We have a little bit of an awkward entryway into our house from our front door and have been searching for a cute way to decorate it. I also wanted the decor to be useful. So I thought it would be fun to incorporate old barn wood I got from my aunt into a coat rack. The barn wood has a weathered gray look that I LOVE! So I designed a barn wood coat rack for our front entryway.
Step 1: Supplies
I used a 24-inch piece of barn wood, 24-inch piece of scrap wood, two pieces of 3/4″ X 1 1/2″ X 24″, two pieces of 3/4″ X 1 1/2″ X 5″ and four hooks.

Step 2: Screw scrap wood into studs
Step 3: Determine where the hooks will be
Step 4: Glue and nail the barn wood to the scrap wood
Step 5: Nail the frame to the barn wood and scrap wood piece
Step 6: Screw hooks into barn wood
I added this really cute Welcome sign above the coat rack from LadinWorx on Esty.
This turned out so good! Pinning this for later! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
