Valentine’s Day Tea Tablescape

in DIY & Home Decor on 02/04/18

After decorating my first tablescape for Christmas and New Years, I thought it would be really fun to do a tablescape for Valentine’s Day!  I wanted the tablescape to be cute, elegant and romantic and I knew I wanted to incorporate my Grandma’s tea cups and saucers.  So here it is, my Valentine’s Day Tea Tablescape:

Thanks to Hobby Lobby I was able to make my vision come to life.  I used this garland and these faux flowers to create my bright and elegant centerpiece:

I also found this beautiful gold lantern vase at Hobby Lobby and knew that should be the focus of my centerpiece.  I love milk glass and have been sort of collecting milk glass vases the past few years and I thought they fit perfectly with my theme for this tablescape.

My Grandpa and Grandma have lots of really neat antiques.  These tea cups and saucers were the perfect vintage touch!  This tea cup and saucer is probably my favorite out of the six:

I have always loved flowers and floral prints so of course, I am IN LOVE with the tea cups!

My Grandma has lots of stories that go with her antiques and old dinnerware.  After finding her tea cups she told us about a few more of her dinnerware items she used when she entertained.  This mini cake stand has a real silver stem.  So I polished my first ever silver with toothpaste!  It was actually really rewarding to see how clean and polished it got 🙂

My Grandma said she use to use this stand for small cheese balls or butter for the entire table.

I love incorporating newly found purchases with my Grandma’s special antiques. Decorating my table is so much fun and I am so happy I get to share it will all of you! Happy Valentines Day!!

Tea is my life and I am so glad to read about all its positive attributes to brain, bones and just being a natural way to relax.
I still like to make mine the old fashioned way with tea leaves – the ritual of making and enjoying my cuppa just makes each day special.
Thank you for sharing your love of tea with a tea lover.

I'm talking shelf decor today here at Lilies and L I'm talking shelf decor today here at Lilies and Life 🌿📚

In my blog post Shelf Decor 101 I created an acronym to help you decorate your shelves F.A.B.B.C.A.V.💪 Here is what F.A.B.B.C.A.V. stands for:

F: Frames
A: Accents
B: Baskets
B: Books
C: Candles
A: Artificial Plants
V: Vases

(Honestly, I wish I could have come up with a catchier acronym but couldn't... I tried 🤣)

Use these seven decor categories to freshen up those shelves 🙌 check out my blog post (link in bio) for links to lots of decor!
